The challenge
The contractor wanted to verify the quantities billed for curtain walls, glazing, and cladding on a large commercial complex. At that scale, even modest discrepancies in measured quantities can materially affect project accounts.
SpotOn’s approach
SpotOn scanned around the complex using a FARO laser scanner. Approximately 60 scan stations captured the building envelope for subsequent measurement and quantity assessment.
What we delivered
The contractor received a report based on the measured work executed on site, providing an independent basis for comparing installed quantities with amounts charged.
Value to the client
The survey enabled a more informed review of contractor accounts based on observable geometry rather than estimates alone.
